Default Player Reputations

there should be a system so people can rate u such as

Connection (***** for good, never quits or leaves while in game /* quits/disconnects durring games)
Language (***** respecting / * for offensive)
Prefrence (***** players prefer u/* players suggest avoiding u)

players can report or fill out a player evaluation on people on these things that way you know wether or not u really want these people in ur party or not(so u know if they are gunna quit/get disconnected or offend ne1 ahead of time). your Rep would be account wide(like fame). people can click on ur name to see your reputation (sorta like the trade button but instead a Rep button).

Reputations would start out on 3 stars and would go up depending on how other players rate u.

people could add testimonials to players too mabe but that might be alittle much.

your thoughts/oppinions?

lol, is a good idea in theory but wouldn't really work

just think about all the idiots out there who would go up to random people and post things like like "NOOB, uses iway" or "this idiot didnt heal me once". You would get so many people out there just trying to screw over other's reputations.

too much room for abuse, as always.

let's say you're a great guy and you end up grouping with a group of 7 people for something. however, they're all jackasses and abuse you, or you get a really good drop while dead and they refuse to res you. instead of standing it, you just leave because you can't take it anymore. if they wanted, that's 7 negative feedback on you even though you didn't deserve it.

i suppose ur right, not enoguht people would probly rate u to get a big collective group of rates where abusers couldnt be able to hurt it..... maybe the lower your rating the less ur oppinon on other players matter? idk..

Some people have a huge guild with almost 300 people. That would be a lot of 5 star feedback.

Maybe if there was a limit of beating a mission with the person (or you rate them right after they drop)

As far as leavers go...Anet could handle it quite easily...if a player leaves of his own accord while in pick up groups...he would attain 1 "leaves party" demerit...of course if you lagged out or Error sevened this would not be assesed...at least this way we would know there is a chance a person will leave the party of his own accord...we would just hafta make up our minds if he left because his party were substandard in performance, rude, plain stupid or he left because he is a quiter, cry-baby, or just disrespectfull....

while on the subjects...someone leaving because his party are "a bunch of Noobs"...is unacceptable in my opinion...you get with a group of new players you should be teaching and not taunting and berating them....

still even this idea has alot of room for misuse....

No, noobs, not newbs. There's a difference these days...

noob-naracistic, overrunning, obnoxious, bastard

newb-new player
way too much room for abuse, would be great if more people could be trusted. It's like communism. Great idea, but corrupt.

I'm not a level 34 technological wizard, nor am I a level 1 of that sort...

..Anyways, is it even at all possible for ArenaNET's servers to be able to distinguish between NetErr7's, personal disconnects/zonings of their own accord, and their ISP just borking them? Well, that and, 56k has its own disconnecting issues.

I'm just saying, I don't think it's that easy for ANET's servers to know what happened to the player's ISP server, since all that really happens is a loss of communication, but neither side knows who's information is the right information. I hope I didn't just confuse everyone as much as I just confused myself re-reading this over.
